Raising the Bar on TNT gives a very idealistic view of the public defenders office. A public defender once told me, " We hear things so much we don't know what is the truth."
Office of the public defender. Most often they are apart of the problem. They will not inform you about what is going on in the procedings or explain what really is being said. They often are apart of the problem. You are going to have to keep asking questions. There salary doesn't change if there is a trial or not.
Your best interests are often talked about but seldom defended. We've experienced and others have seen these defenders participate in a lie and then lie about that.
They system is not designed for parents and these "defenders" know that. When the Judges and Magistrates are going along with it, it's LIKE fighting a losing battle.
Their goal will be to get you to plead and not go to jury trial.
